Our Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Practitioners are highly trained and licensed to practice medicine. NPs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and in North Carolina can write prescriptions. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are an integral part of geriatric care in North Carolina.

I truly enjoy working with the geriatric population. I believe both evidence based practice and patient centered care are vital to achieving not only the best possible outcomes, but also the best life quality for our patients. I also understand when palliative care is indicated and I believe as clinicians we have a unique opportunity to work with patients to help them understand they don’t have to seek aggressive treatment, but rather when palliative care may be the best choice. I also have a special interest in cardiovascular medicine.
